Matt has been with Community Mortgage for more than 6 years, helping home buyers and homeowners realize the transformative impact that homeownership can have on financial security, lifestyle, wealth, and creating generational opportunities.
Prior to joining the Community Mortgage team, Matt’s career focused predominantly on customer service. Having spent time with organizations like Costco and the San Diego Padres, Matt learned to embody the importance of providing customers and clients with the best possible experience. Honesty, integrity, respect, education, and open communication are the core values that set the foundation for that experience.
“Too many people approach home buying as a decision. It’s not. It’s a series of decisions with each one impacting the next. The cumulative outcome of those decisions determines how the process unfolds and will have longstanding impacts on your future.”
Matt grew up in Camarillo, California, and moved to San Diego in 2006 to attend UC San Diego, earning departmental and college honors while studying political science. He then went on to earn his Masters of Sport Administration from the University of San Francisco. Never shying away from pursuing his passions, Matt chose to apply that same enthusiasm to helping clients realize the value of homeownership in attaining financial security.
“Homeownership isn’t about getting a mortgage. It’s about getting the right mortgage for you.” With so much information available online, it can be very difficult to know what’s right. It’s also important to keep in mind that every person and every family has their own financial and personal circumstances and objectives. What may be right for your neighbor, your parents, or your co-worker may not be right for you. Having a strong relationship with a trusted professional to provide current, accurate, and relevant information to you is invaluable in achieving your goals.
In his personal life, Matt enjoys spending time with his son, Mason, watching soccer, snowboarding, music, history, exploring the world, and has recently started learning to play golf.
